![]() I replaced them with Tenergy Centura 9V 200mAh Low Self-Discharge NiMH Rechargeable Batteries and bought a proper charger and discharger on for good measure. I took the original batteries out because I recall one was making crackling noises, and no surprise, the voltmeter said 0.01V and there was some leakage and corrosion. I have two original e100 models, which I recently replaced the batteries in after 10 years I think. When needed, the batteries provide the extra current necessary during high SPL transients. The batteries are trickle charged by the phantom supply. ![]() This powering arrangement overcomes the inherent current limiting associated with most phantom power supplies. The Equitek E-100 is powered by a combination of 48 Volt phantom power and a pair of rechargeable 9 volt batteries.
